Colophon
About this build
This is an independent redesign of a real club’s website, built as a personal experiment. Everything factual on it came from the club. Everything else was written for the study and is marked where it appears.
What this is, exactly
A ground-up replacement for tenscabaret.com, designed and built by one person over a few days as a study in how far a small venue’s website can be pushed. It is not operated by, endorsed by, or affiliated with Ten’s Cabaret. Nobody at the club asked for it and nobody at the club paid for it.
The club is real, the address is real and the phone number is real. If you want a table, that number is the way to get one:+1 347-630-7077.
The facts are real. Some content isn’t.
The address, the phone number, the email, the hours, the complete kitchen menu with all 35 prices, and the three event formats all come from the club’s own website and are reproduced exactly. The cocktail list, the bottle list, the membership tiers, the event dates and every line of body copy were written for this study.
Anything written for the study carries a dagger and a short note saying so, on the page where it appears. If it does not carry a dagger, it came from the club.
What is the club’s and what is ours
Theirs, reproduced exactly
- The address, 2945 Arthur Kill Road
- The telephone number and the email address
- The hours — 5 PM to 4 AM, all seven days
- The complete kitchen menu, all 35 priced items
- The 3 event formats and the two resident DJ names
- The nine services listed on their contact page
- The 21+ door policy and the private lot
- The 11 photographs
- The image disclaimer, reproduced word for word
Ours, written for this build
- The cocktail list — all 10 of them, none priced
- The 4 bottle-service tiers, named and never priced
- The membership tiers and what a card carries
- Every recurring date, computed from a cadence we inferred
- Every line of body copy on every page
- The reconstructed wordmark and the whole 3D room
Two things we changed
The club’s site spells the nearby bridge “Outter Bridge”; it is the Outerbridge Crossing, and we spell it correctly. Its menu heading reads “Desert Of The Day”; the word is Dessert. Everything else is left as published — including the venue’s own spellings on the printed menu, which are correct as printed and have not been tidied.
No form here sends anything
There is no server behind this site, so there is nowhere for a form to send anything. Every request form on it validates what you typed, shows you exactly what it composed, and stops there. Nothing is stored, nothing is queued, and nothing reaches the club.
If you actually want a table, the phone number is real and it is theirs:+1 347-630-7077.
The age notice is a courtesy
It remembers your answer on this device for thirty days. It does not verify anything, it does not restrict access, and it is not an age check in any legal sense.
The room itself is 21 and over, and that part is the club’s own published policy: valid government-issued photo ID is checked at the door on Arthur Kill Road.
Where the pictures came from
Eleven photographs survived on the club’s own server; the rest of its media library returns errors. Those 11 are the only imagery here. They have been re-graded and composited, and nothing has been generated, invented or bought in. No AI-generated people. No stock. The club’s own site notes that its images are for illustrative purposes and posed by models, and we have kept both the photographs and the note.
Nobody in the photographs is named anywhere on this site. The filenames the club uploaded contained first names; those are upload filenames, not credits, and they are not reproduced.
No trackers
No analytics, no advertising cookies, no third-party requests of any kind. Nothing on this page is fetched from anywhere but this domain — not the fonts, not the map, not the sound. The only things kept in your browser are your age answer and your display preferences, and the full list is here.
If a stuck service worker from the old site ever leaves you on a stale page, this page clears it.
